THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 196 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN WESTERN TEXAS BORDEN GLASSCOCK HOWARD MITCHELL REAGAN SCURRY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BIG LAKE, BIG SPRING, COLORADO CITY, GAIL, GARDEN CITY, AND SNYDER.

Description

At 442 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest of Reagan County Airport, or 9 miles southwest of Big Lake, moving east at 10 mph.
Hazard: Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Big Lake and Reagan County Airport.
